This week was a little bit rough. I was sick, babies decided to wake up super early and be super fun very early a few mornings.  It feels like Christmas is tomorrow and I’m not ready yet. You know… mom stuff?
But I continued to wear the dress.  It’s a simple thing, and a choice that I have the freedom to make.  Continuing to wear the dress is my way of standing up for what is going on all over the world.  To put a stop to the thousands and thousands of women and girls (mostly) who are being taken from their homes and forced into sexual slavery.

This week, I read a story about a little orphan girl who was adopted legally into a family in North America, only for the family to find out later that this little girl was not an orphan at all.  That the little girl was taken from her family and held in what was described as a jail and given very little and kept hungry.  And when her parents tried to get her back, they were told they needed to pay a ridiculously high fee for how the “orphanage” cared for her/room and board.  None of the kids in the orphanage were actually orphans. They were just being kept from their parents who could not afford to pay an exorbitant fee to get their child back.  This is a new kind of human trafficking that I hadn’t heard of before, but it is going on all over the world.

I will not sit down until this isn’t happening anymore.  please consider donating to the cause here!

xoxo,
Alysa
