Happy November!

I am so happy it’s November! Yesterday, on the way to church, they were starting to put up the Christmas lights on Main street for the Santa Claus Parade, and I’ve seen the boxes at Starbucks that say “No peeking until November 12” (I thought that stuff would be out by now but whatever).  It’s an exciting time, and then you add the fact that I’m expecting to have a baby sometime on or around Friday.  I’d be ok with a little after, though, if I’m being honest 😉  Plus, yesterday was daylight savings which mean that I got an extra hour of sleep/being pregnant!! I would be happy if we had an extra hour of sleep every day, but that’s just because I don’t have a child that relies on routines to function. My love of daylight savings might change next year when I have an almost 1 year old who hates life after it happens.

Last week something pretty major happened, too.  Since before the beginning of the school year, I had been keeping To-Do lists that I was doing for the week.  Just things to keep me on track with schoolwork and household stuff.  The last couple of weeks, I’ve been doing a DONE list as well, which has majorly helped.  On my Done list, I put everything that I accomplished.  There would be days where I’d have my To-Do list staring at me, but I wouldn’t be able to get to the things on THAT list because I was doing other things, or something came up.  Having a DONE list as well is really helpful because it shows that even if I’m “bad” at doing a To-Do list, I’m still getting things accomplished … even if that thing is getting dressed.  Anyway! Last week, for the first time, I was able to check EVERYTHING off of my To-Do list!! I think that’s pretty major 🙂

Here are other things that made me happy this week:

This Pop-Up Hello Kitty themed restaurant!  I need to go to there.

Pandora now has beads inspired by Disney!  I think this will make it super easy for my husband to shop for me for Christmas (and other events 😉 )

Verse of the Week:

However, God is rich in mercy.
He brought us to life with Christ while we were dead as a result of those things we did wrong.
He did this because of the great love he has for us.
You are saved by God’s grace!
Ephesians 2:5

Have a great week!

xoxo,
Alysa
