Happy Day!

A couple of weeks ago, I started a new morning routine (for weekday mornings anyway).  I had been doing a daily devotional using the website/app of YouVerson.  I really missed doing it, and there wasn’t really any reason for me not to, so I decided to start it up again!  Right now I’m reading a plan called “She Reads Truth: Prayer in the Bible”.. which is about all the different times prayer comes up in the Bible.  I’m really liking it so far! I have another week or so left, and then I’ll be starting up a new one.  If you’d like to follow along, or start your own plan, you can do so here!  This app is so great, and it’s on Android, too!  If you join, add me as a friend, my username is Alysalovely 🙂

I LOVE learning different names for colours, and this blog has some pretty awesome names.

Taylor Swift is probably one of my favourite people.. and it’s because she consistently does stuff like this!

Will I really lose my body and need to get it back after the baby?  I don’t know, but I like this alternate perspective on the whole baby body/get your body back thing that is always in the media.

My favourite verse from the last week:

“Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks.” – Philippians 4:6

There are so many times where I have something that I’d like to ask God about, but I don’t feel like it’s big enough or important enough to bother Him with.  It’s silly, especially considering God already knows what bothers me and what has been on my heart.  Bring up ALL your requests to God, He cares about them <3

Have a happy week!

  1. Thanks for your words on prayer. And I love that verse. For me, prayer is more than giving my anxious cares to God. Prayer is the basis of my relationship with God and Jesus. Prayer is how we communicate with each other. And they say, open communication is key to any relationship. I’ve noticed that the more I pray, the more my relationship with God grows. Cheerio
