August Reads

27. Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin
This one was pretty difficult to get through, honestly. There were a few characters I didn’t really care about, and a lot more war than I would have liked.  I ended up taking 2 months to read it, and that’s wayy too long.  I’m hesitant about even continuing with the series because of how long it took me to get through this one.  I’m taking a 2 book break, and then we’ll see how I feel though.

28. Spiritual Parenting by Michelle Anthony
I’ve read this one before, but it was interesting to read it again now when I’m actually going to become a parent.  It’s still a little ways off before I’m actually going to need the things in the book, considering most of the things she discusses in the book require the little one to understand you.  I’m excited to be able to do the things in the book though, and I would honestly recommend it to any Christian parent.

What have you been reading lately?

xoxo,
Alysa

  1. I would suggest at least reading the third book in the series. It’s the best one, and I doubt you will be disappointed. The two after that, meh. Skip them if you’d like.
