Socks: Forever 21
This winter has been different from other winters here in Winnipeg. It seems colder, feels like more snow (maybe not), but the roads are definitely worse than they usually are. When there aren’t deep ice ruts that keeps you feeling like you’re driving on a predetermined course, the entire road is a literal skating rink that makes it difficult to do anything (stop, start, turn, etc). Saturday was especially bad. It had snowed pretty much all day on Friday, so on Saturday there was a nice big layer of fresh snow everywhere. I needed to bring everything over to the space for the clothing swap, so I went to pick up my friend and went there. In that time, I got stuck THREE times, in three different places.
SO many cars drove by (including, I’m sorry to say, a police car containing two of Winnipegs “finest”. Thanks for stopping, boys). However, 10 people ended up pushing me out of being stuck. 10 people, who could have kept going, but instead chose to stop and help some random girl with a car stuck in the snow. More people kept going, and drove by, but those 10 people decided to show a little kindness to two girls who could not move the car by themselves. I’m very grateful for those 10 Winnipegers and their kindness.
What was the last random act of kindness you saw?
