Keep In Touch!

I absolutely love receiving mail.  I’m talking about snail mail that is sent to your house, that is not a bill! It’s super fun to receive something that’s not a bill in the mail!  Because I love this so much, I also like to send mail to other people.  Every so often, I will send care packages to friends from out of town.  Over the last year, I’ve sent little “Thank you” notes to friends who had come to our apartment for a party. I love sending little notes and presents to the girls I lead at youth.  It’s always fun to get something cute in the mail, especially in a time when most to all communication happens electronically.

When I was in the U.S. for my one year anniversary a month ago, my husband and I went to Target there and found the cutest little note cards ever!  I just HAD to get them.  I thought they were so cute, and I knew that I wanted to send them to the grade 7 girls I lead!

How cute are these?  I am obsessed with the font they used on these cards. They’re just too cute for words!

There were 8 of these for $1

There were 6 of these for $1!

I was trying to think of encouraging things to write in these cards.  I had so much white space to fill, and I wanted to make each one personal to the recipient.  (And I was able to do that!)  I also wanted to encourage them with a verse from the Bible, so I chose this one from 1 Timothy!

1 Timothy 4:12
Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith and purity.

(and the result/benefit of writing that verse out 12 times is that I now have it memorized 😉 )

I don’t know if the girls have received their cards yet, but I hope that they enjoy them!

What kinds of cards do you enjoy getting?

xoxo,
Alysa
