So, yesterday was the marathon.
It’s really funny to think about just how fast it came up.  In the last week (or so), I wasn’t able to train AT ALL. And yet, I still managed to run my part of the relay in decent time.  My one fear was that I was going to be the person who was closing down the track.  There were a few hours between when parts of the track would open and parts of it would close, and I was so worried that I was going to be very last.  Like, with the guy in the van following close behind me because of how slow I was going!!

I did manage to pass some people, but I was also passed by a few people (including some children … don’t know how I feel about that 😉 ).

All in all, I’m really glad that I participated in this year’s marathon, and I would really like to do the half next year!!  I also think that I’m going to keep going for runs.  I feel as though I’ve always been a runner, I just never actually got started with it!  Now, all I have to do is continue, and I’ll definitely be ready to run a half marathon in a year.

Though, I’m going to wait a day or so till I go running… I woke up this morning with my legs feeling very sore. Plus, pain in my knee which I suspect is mostly from a previous injury.

How was your Father’s day?
