I love lazy weekends, and it seems that this past weekend was just what I needed!  On Saturday, I was able to sleep in, and we didn’t get dressed until we were going to go out for our date night (We saw Silver Linings Playbook, good but weird).

Yesterday, we had church, but did nothing until we were about to go to our friend’s birthday party.  It was a post-Valentine’s day party so in order to respect the theme, we had to wear red, pink, and/or white.  I wore head to toe red, including rose coloured glasses.  I meant to take pictures while at the party, but it never happened.  My friend had a dance floor, and it was such a great time.  I danced the sock right out of my bun!  It was a truly great party.

Today was another sleep in day!  In other provinces it’s called family day, but here in Manitoba we call it Louis Riel day! aka a wonderful day off in the middle of February.  If I were being true to history, we should probably go escape to Murica, but instead we watched tv and now I’m making bannock 🙂

But what about your Lenten promise?  Well, on Saturday I was a blob and did nothing.  On Sunday, I felt the urge to go downstairs and help out with the little children at Kids Core at my church!  Today, I’m making Bannock to bring with us to our newlyweds small group dinner.  Hopefully it turns out!

Have a great week!

xoxo,
Alysa
