Today was the first day of Lent, and I’ll admit that I had trouble thinking of a random act of kindness to do!  Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was at home for most of the day.   I had to think, what’s something that I could do at home?

Then it hit me! We have the mail delivered daily, I will thank the mailperson!

I put some cookies in a little baggie, and added a thank you note to the top of it!

Then, I put it in my own mail box.  If I had a house, I feel like this random act of kindness would be more effective, but this is what I can do as I live in an apartment!

Now I just have to wait and see if they will take it!  Hopefully it brightens their day a little bit!

xoxo,
Alysa

  1. This is such a lovely idea!! I bet your mail person will love it. I like your approach: Many people think about lent as a time in which you have to “give up” something, but “adding” something positive is way better!

    1. I hope so! 🙂
That’s what I was thinking, too. Last year I gave up sugar, and I don’t know if it was really effective, you know? Like, when I’m doing random acts of kindness, I’m not really planing them in advance, but I’m more reflecting and praying on them first.. then I’ll do whatever I feel led to. I probably won’t share all of them, either.. but I’d like to share most of them to keep accountable.
